October is here!

Wow! October is here already. This past week it was warm and still summer-like. Last night we had a storm front come through and this morning it is cool and feels like fall. It’s supposed to be only in the upper 60’s and sunny. A nice change to the cloudy, rainy weather we have had for the past 2 or 3 weeks. I am ready for the cooler fall weather, however I know when January/February get here, I will feel differently and be longing for the summer again.

Nickolas is 10 months old now and has mastered waving. Sometimes he will wave at Chris and it sounds like he’s saying “Hi Da Da”. He is also standing by himself for about a minute and has really good balance.  That means those first steps are not too far away. He has to keep up with his big sister.

Samantha will be 3 years old later this month. I can’t believe it!! She loves Tinkerbell, so I’m going to make Tinkerbell cupcakes for her party. She has also requested a purple cake so I will be sure there is plenty of purple.  The party will be small with a few family members and friends.  There will be a couple of 3 year olds (including Samantha), a 6 year old and a 15 month old. Friends of ours own an Italian restaurant and they have a new party/event room that we are going to use. So, we have decided to have pizza and cake. The only other thing I am thinking of is how to keep the kids entertained. Open to any ideas you have.

I have had such fun re-designing and learning more as I have been blogging. Please leave any comments on what you think. Please explore the rest of my blog and websites I have links to.

It’s such a beautiful morning, we will have to go out and enjoy it today. Enjoy your day and have a great week. See you next time.

It sounds like you have a busy time ahead of you.

Your daughter’s party sounds like it’s going to be great! Colouring is always a great quiet activity. A craft of some sort may keep them entertained for a while. Or perhaps would you consider having a special guest? (a clown, balloon artist, face painter, etc).

    Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
